So I always wonder why people get so worked up over someone else’s art. Photographer Joe Klamar showed up at press event to photograph some Olympic Athletes and upon arrival found out he could’ve set up a portable studio, and not just capture the athletes up on stage. His friend worked with him to share another photographer’s studio, and in that quick turnaround time, he came up with this series of shots. I think they are decent photos, showing that the athletes are real people, with personalities and not completely photogenic gods. Others have apparently though that portraying them in a non hero-worship-y way is sacrilegious. What do you all think?
